Patented Production Process.
Following the dyeing process, the carpet is now ready to be tufted into the template design. For this, George Kalogridis developed a patented and exclusive process called Vertical Dynamic Integration, or VDI. This secret process allows Kalogridis' carpet artisans to quickly and expertly tuft, cut, inspect and refine the carpet in ways that no other carpet manufacturer can duplicate. |
Carving
Out Perfection.
Following the
tufting process, the carpet is laid flat, where finishing specialists then carve the often delicate and intricate carpet designs - which was particularly the case with the Citation X carpet design. This process takes a high degree of expertise, patience and dedication, since mistakes can virtually ruin the entire piece. Following carving, the carpet is meticulously inspected and vacuumed before being prepared for shipment. |
